Drink tap water

The quality of drinking water is very good in Tallinn and tap water is excellent for quenching a thirst. In 2011, 99.66% of the water samples taken from customer taps were compliant with the legal quality standards. This is the best ever result of the Company in terms of water quality which is well comparable to the drinking water quality in Western Europe.

For the benefit of a clean Baltic Sea

Wastewater treatment at Paljassaare plant contributes significantly to the creation of a pure environment for the Baltic Sea. Since 2006 Tallinn is no longer included in the Helcom list of hotspots. This has been an excellent recognition of our investments made in the continuous improvement of our wastewater treatment process.

We create better life with pure water

Our performance impacts the environment and the quality of life of almost one third of the population in Estonia. Supplying high quality drinking water as well as leading off wastewater and storm water and conducting it back to the nature after treatment requires strong contribution and arduous efforts from our professional staff.

Gardening Water

Our gift to customers who own or possess house is that in summer watering period we do not charge them for the discharge of gardening water into sewerage system. This sum will be carried over as a prepayment for customer's consumption of water and sewerage services.

Settlement is guaranteed to the house (property) owners or possessors who have met their contractual obligations, given that all the following requirements are met:

  • you have a water meter that we accept;
  • you have signed and valid service contract (with a maximum of 3-months water meter reading reporting cycle);
  • you have a consumption history on that property at least since October the previous year;
  • you have reported your water meter readings to us throughout the year at the frequency set in the contract;
  • you have paid the bills on time.

There are two ways for receiveing a settlement in 2011:

  1. Settlement is calculated as a difference between the summer and winter period. This means that you have to report your water meter readings as set in the contract and, if needed, additionally taken as of 30.09. In case the billing period does not match the summer gardening water settlement period and we have not received your readings taken as of 31.03 and 30.09, the settlement will be calculated for the billing period that falls into summer period. For a customer, this will mean settlement for a shorter period of time. In case the start and/or end reading for summer period has been reported, the settlement will be calculated based on the readings reported.
  2. Settlement is calculated according to the reading of the additional water meter installed by us. All the costs related to that water meter will be covered by customer according to the pricelist. Main and additional water meter readings must be reported according to the billing period set in the contract.
In order to receive a settlement for gardening water, please complete and submit the application for the settlement for gardening water. In case you have already submitted this application in previous years, you do not need to submit it again. We accept applications all around the year, but settlements for the ongoing year are calculated until the end of October, given that all the requirements listed above are met.  Settlement sum will be carried over as a prepayment for the next running bill.
